To answer this week's question "what are we most thankful for and what are our holiday traditions" I'll say that I'm thankful for my family and friends and my favourite holiday tradition has always been lighting candles where we are eating, putting ribbons of 4 different colors under them and then when we are finished, cutting them in peaces and giving them so you have good luck. We usually only do this on Christmas.

Hopping through. I'm a new follower. What's the origin of the ribbon tradition? Is it something cultural or just something your family does? I've never heard of that.
