Passion runs as hot as a fever dream in these all-new stories by four New York Times bestselling provocateurs of the paranormal...

In Angela Knight's Blood and Roses, a vampire warrior and his seductive captor join forces to stop a traitor from unleashing an army of demonic predators on their kingdom.

New in Nalini Singh's Psy-Changeling series is Whisper of Sin, in which a woman in lethal danger finds an unlikely protector—and lover—in a volatile member of the DarkRiver pack.

Virginia Kantra continues the haunting tales of the Children of the Sea in Shifting Sea, the story of a wounded soldier rescued by a strange and enigmatic young woman.

Meljean Brook launches a bold new steampunk series with Here There Be Monsters, as a desperate woman strikes a provocative—and terrifying—bargain to gain overseas passage.

Whisper of Sin by Nalini Singh

The main reason I read this book was Nalini Singh's story. She's one of my favourite Paranormal Romance writers and her Psy/Changeling series is probably on my top 3 paranormal series. Her story in this anthology is about Ria and her mate and is set a few years before the first novel of the series. I loved seeing how Ria met her mate and ended up as Lucas' assistant. It was also great seeing Lucas as the alpha before he met Sasha. The truth is that I would have liked the story to be longer, nevertheless this was an awesome story, with a great plot and a passionate romance.

Blood and Roses by Angela Knight

I've never read any books by Angela Knight before, so I really didn't know what to expect. I was lost from the first page, and I don't mean good lost, but bad lost. I didn't know how the world worked and it seemed like it was expected of me to know that already. Plot wise, there was nothing special about it and it was a tad predictable.

1/2

Shifting Sea by Virginia Kantra

I've read the 3 novels of this series by Virginia Kantra and I really enjoyed them. This story is about the sister of the main character of the 4th novel, and I was expecting a little more interaction with him, but there wasn't. This was a sweet story but felt a little rushed at times. I would have liked seeing the relationship between the main characters develop more in depth.

Rating: 1/2

Here There be Monsters by Meljean Brook

I've never read any steampunk before so I had no real expectations. The only thing I can say after reading this novella is that it rocked my world! It was amazing! The worldbuilding was awesome, the characters were very interesting and the plot was engaging. I only have good things to say about this story and now I can't wait to read the novel The Iron Duke that releases this October.

LOL! My feelings were very different about this series. The ones you loved, I didn't and the ones you didn't I did. It's so interesting to get everyone else's opinions on books.
